La Petite Patisserie – Hoi An, Vietnam
Cua Dai is not a regular stop for us but we regularly pass through and having seen the little sign on the main road many times, we decided to follow it down the unassuming little back street to this delightful place. Stepping into the charming courtyard with the sunlight softly peeking through the big trees, I felt immediately relaxed. It’s beautifully decorated, super clean and very peaceful. The friendly staff took our order promptly and our iced coffee arrived in a flash. I’m a self-confessed coffee snob and I rate it highly against the many we’ve sampled in Hoi An. Rich and strong but not bitter, it was full of flavour. We were only looking for coffee and as our stop was early, I couldn’t bring myself to try to gorgeous pastries but I saw enough to know that I will be back. Definitely worth the detour.
