We stopped in at Khamy Resort for a coffee based on it’s street appeal. The café is set in a gorgeous garden overlooking a quiet spot on the river and it looks so inviting. Staff are super friendly and seem genuinely happy to be there. Our order was taken quickly and coffees arrived soon after with just enough time to sit back and enjoy the serenity. We’re already fans of the Vietnamese coconut coffee so we had to try their version – it was delicious! The ice cream was creamier here rather than the icier, sorbet version I’ve tried elsewhere so I supposed that comes down to preference but we loved it. We also tried the coffee with soda water. Not something I’ve ever seen before but I’m glad we gave it a go – very refreshing. I’m usually an espresso girl and I’m a bit partial to a water chaser (still or sparkling) so to have the coffee and soda combined suited me very nicely.

I will certainly return for the coffee but I would also be keen to check out the accommodation. It’s just over 1km from the Ancient Town but it’s a very pleasant walk or bike ride along a pleasant waterside path and if you aren’t staying there, it’s still worth a stroll.
