Terrific service, super food & impressive wines.

Originally, we dropped in at the very attractive cellar door to sample the Boydell wines and had such a pleasant visit we decided to move outside to the courtyard where we sat under the big tree for a yummy cheese plate and an outstanding bottle of verdelho The full menu appeared interesting so we returned for dinner a few weeks later and we weren’t disappointed. We chose tuna ceviche, prawn cocktail, pork belly and brisket. All were delicious – well balanced, beautifully presented and ample servings. For my taste, on several of the dishes there was an abundance of sauce and whilst they were all tasty, the base ingredients were such good quality that I didn’t feel so much was needed but that’s an easy thing to sweep aside so no harm there.

The staff are professional, friendly and knowledgeable, and their service style is relaxed.

The space itself is relaxed and comfortable and being situated in a quite laneway off the main street (with parking at rear) so even when the little town is full of visitors, it feels a world away.

Highly recommended.
