Mr Eung Restaurant – Choeng Mon, Koh Samui, Thailand
This will probably be one of my shorter reviews because it doesn’t take too many words to explain ‘outstanding’. The food is amazing. We’ve tried so many dishes across numerous visits and we have yet to come across one that is not delicious. Some of our favourites include barracuda in curry sauce, prawns and tamarind, pork larb, crispy pork and vegetables, there’s a catfish dish too but I couldn’t tell you what they do with it all I know is it’s delicious!! Seafood is a highlight but that doesn’t mean they drop the ball on other offerings. Service is excellent. This is a family affair and everyone seems happy to be there – friendly, fun and ready with suggestions but only if you ask and if you can’t decide, ask them to bring what’s good that day. It always results in the best meals. For those a little shy with their Thai language skills, you won’t have a problem with English here. The restaurant is open air with tables both inside and out and always a nice breeze. Located in a raised pavilion on the northern side (just up from the entrance to Sala) it’s an easy walk for those staying in Choeng Mon but there’s also plenty of parking space for visitors from Bo Phut or Chaweng… and it’s definitely worth the drive.
