Sea Mountain Hotel – Khanom, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Thailand
Our stay at Sea Mountain was short (only 1 night) as we were committed to exploring the mainland and this was only the first stop so we didn’t want to get too comfortable but it definitely would have been possible here. The welcome at Reception is warm and efficient and we found that to be the same with all staff we encountered.
We were allocated a room on the top floor (level 5) with a large, wrap-around deck to take advantage of the sweeping views across both the coast and the mountains. Our room was spacious, super clean and well maintained. Beds are comfortable and wifi worked well. A lovely pool area at the rear of the hotel looked inviting but we didn’t get a chance to enjoy. Breakfast is simple but tasty, all good quality food. The location makes it a terrific base for exploring Khanom and surrounds. The beach is a very short walk (2 minutes across the road) and although we had a car, I’m sure it would only be a 10 minute walk to the town but unless you need supplies, there’s no reason to go every day. Scattered around the vicinity, there are other hotels and bungalow operations with the usual restaurants and bars that accompany them. The beach is long, clean and very safe for swimming.
We found Sea Mountain by recommendation and we would be very happy to recommend to others.
