Tamu Restaurant – Otres 2, Sihanoukville, Cambodia
We stayed at Tamu Resort for 5 nights and ate at the restaurant on our first and last nights. The only reason we didn’t eat here every night was a desire to try as many places as possible. The menu isn’t huge but what’s there is clever and supplemented by daily specials such as tuna tar tar, lobster salad, scallop pasta and one of my favourites, prawn and cucumber salad.
Flavours are well balanced, everything we tried was fresh and servings are generous. A small wine list is well chosen to provide variety at reasonable prices but it did appear that the only beer options were in cans and our beer drinkers were not keen (personal preference though!)
The very happy staff are welcoming, knowledgeable and ready to assist with explanations and recommendations when requested. The setting is perfect, right on the sand – in fact the floor of the restaurant IS sand! It’s open air, nicely decorated and very clean. We will definitely return to Tamu and will confidently recommend the restaurant to friends.
