The Orchid Restaurant – Choeng Mon, Koh Samui, Thailand
The Orchid Restaurant has been around for years and is still one of our favourites in Choeng Mon. It’s casual and great value for money, they have a huge menu with European options for those who prefer (they do a decent pizza!) but we go for the Thai food. My favourite is the Miang Kham, a DIY dish of betel leaves with a selection of prawns, nuts, coconut, chilli & a delicious sauce!
We often share that with a plate of green vegetables with crispy pork and that never disappoints either but every dish we try at Orchid is great. They have a wide selection of drinks, all are served cold. Service is efficient and friendly with happy people. The space is open so not air conditioned but even on the hottest nights, there are plenty of fans for a cool breeze. It’s on the main road, a little towards the western end but convenient to most of the resorts and easy for those travelling from other locations. Highly recommended.
