Lanterns Restaurant, Anantara – Hoi An, Vietnam
We have been in Hoi An for a number of months already and enjoy comparing the restaurants and street food available. When it comes to breakfast, Lanterns Restaurant is our new #1.We opted for the buffet and the variety of food on offer was superb. All the usual breakfast staples were available – hot meats, cold meats, eggs, fresh fruit, pastries, plus a lovely selection of fresh juices. All were delicious but the standout for me was the Superfood Station of DIY to supplement the cereals and yoghurts. Goji berries, sunflower seeds, matcha, sesame seeds (white and black!), cacao powder, hemp seeds and so many more. Congratulations on doing something a little different from the mainstream and doing it well.
One more thing, while the food was outstanding, I must also mention the lovely service. We were treated like VIPs by the staff who were friendly, attentive and welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble. I look forward to returning to Lanterns again very soon.
